-
- STATUS
- Not Recruiting
Summary
The goal of this study is to create a large biobank of blood samples and data from patients who have just been found to have diabetes. We plan to search for proteins and other things in the blood that may help us tell the difference between ?regular? new-onset diabetes and the rare cases of new?onset diabetes due to cancer.
Description
The purpose of this study is to: 1) define, identify and follow a large cohort of subjects who recently meet criteria for NOD, 2) develop a biobank of biospecimens from this NOD cohort, 3) retrospectively validate promising biomarkers of PDAC currently under investigation, and 4) provide a platform for development of an interventional protocol for early detection of sporadic PDAC NOD subjects.
