Updated on 19 February 2024

Summary

In the current research, I will investigate how basic, low-level cognitive processes involved in the perception of children?s faces and bodies are linked with perceptions of sophisticated minds and adult-like capacities. Specifically, I seek to investigate whether characteristics of juvenile?s faces (e.g., facial maturity, emotional expressions, race) or bodies (e.g., physical size) may impact later judgments about them, such as how responsible they are for intentional crimes.
