Summary
The purpose of this study is to assess level of anxiety and preparedness for surgery before and after initial neurosurgical visit; to assess patient knowledge regarding pathological diagnosis, intended surgical procedures, potential surgical complications and alternative treatment options for pituitary tumors; and to determine if developed standardized educational materials decrease pre-operative anxiety and increase pre-operative preparedness.
