Summary
The primary research question concerns how visual attention is modulated by physiological state as measured by heart rate.
Description
Previous research reveals that observers do not always notice changes in a visual scene. Much of this research suggests that overt visual attention is necessary to detect changes. In this study, we measure participants’ ability to detect changes made to visual scenes on a computer screen, while we simultaneously track where they look and measure their heartrate
