Summary
The purpose of this study is that patients who have muscle deterioration after experiencing a traumatic injury will have worse long term outcomes than patients who do not have muscle deterioration.
Description
We plan to prove that using the change in muscle mass on serial CT scans can be used as a tool to identify patients who are at risk of a poor long term outcome and intervene in their care through aggressive nutritional and rehabilitation support in hopes of improving their recovery.
