Summary
The objective of this study is to evaluate the analytical performance of Curetis Unyvero Lower Respiratory Tract (LRT) Panel on the Unyvero system for bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) specimens compared to I) conventional bacterial culture; ii) biofire film array pneumonia panel and iii) a subset of patients with an infectious diseases protocol (IDP) work up that consists of a Gram stain microscopic examination of the centrifuged pellet from the original BAL specimen.
