Summary
The purpose of this study is to examine the parental involvement in high school children sports participation and the development of (children's) resilience, using four parenting behavior elements directed towards young student-athletes. It was hypothesized that: Active involvement and praise, as a type of parental involvement, has a positive effect on the development of sport resilience in young student-athletes. Directive behavior, as a type of parental involvement, has a negative effect on the development of sport resilience in young student-athletes.
