This study investigates the collection of muscle samples to support research on musculoskeletal health. Musculoskeletal health involves the muscles, bones, and joints that help us move and perform daily activities. The study aims to gather these samples for the Indiana Center for Musculoskeletal Health Clinical Research Core Biobank, which is a collection of biological samples used for scientific research.

Participants will undergo a muscle biopsy, which involves taking a small sample of muscle tissue for study. Before the procedure, participants must not take certain medications that can increase bleeding risk, such as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and aspirin. Acetaminophen, a common pain reliever, is allowed.

• Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older with a Body Mass Index of 38 or less can participate. They must understand and sign an Informed Consent Statement and avoid medications that increase bleeding risk a week before the biopsy.
• Study details: Participants will provide muscle samples through a biopsy procedure, involving the collection of a small piece of muscle tissue. Avoiding medications like NSAIDs and aspirin before the procedure is important to reduce bleeding risk.
