This study investigates how an investigational insulin affects blood glucose levels in children and adolescents with Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a condition where the body does not produce insulin, a hormone that helps control blood sugar. Participants will receive either the investigational insulin or another insulin to compare their effects on blood glucose.
During the study, participants will use an insulin pen for injections and a glucose meter to check their blood sugar. They will keep a diary to record their insulin use and blood sugar levels. Participants will also adjust their insulin doses based on guidelines provided by the study team.
- Who can participate: Children and adolescents aged 1 to less than 18 years with Type 1 diabetes for at least 6 months can participate. Participants must weigh at least 16 lbs (7.3 kg), have access to refrigeration for insulin storage, and be able to follow study procedures.
- Study details: Participants will use an insulin pen to inject the investigational insulin or another insulin and measure their blood sugar using a study-provided glucose meter. A placebo is not used in this study.
