This study investigates how breathing patterns change during exercise at different intensities. It focuses on a point called 'critical power,' which is a specific exercise threshold that might affect breathing differently when exercising below or above it.
Participants will engage in exercises at various intensities to measure their breathing patterns. This will help researchers understand how breathing adapts during exercise, particularly around the critical power threshold.
- Who can participate: Experienced cyclists who train at least five days a week and cover over 300 minutes or 70 miles weekly can participate. Participants must have normal pulmonary function and no history of pulmonary disease.
- Study details: Participants will perform exercises at different intensities to study breathing patterns. Participants will be compensated for their involvement.
