This study investigates treatments for severe asthma, a condition where airways in the lungs are inflamed and narrow, making it difficult to breathe. This study aims to explore which treatments work best for different patients with severe asthma.
Participants will receive several treatments, each lasting about four months, with breaks in between. The study will not use actual medicine in some cases, known as a placebo, which looks like the real treatment but does not contain active medicine.
- Who can participate: Individuals aged 12 and older with severe, uncontrolled asthma who are stable on their asthma medications may be eligible. Participants should not be pregnant or breastfeeding and must not be in other clinical trials.
- Study details: Participants will receive various treatments for severe asthma, with each treatment lasting around four months. A placebo, an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine, may be used in the study.
