This study investigates the role of indoor exposure to particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) and ultra-fine particles (UFP) in the development of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Particulate matter refers to tiny particles in the air that can be harmful when inhaled, affecting heart and lung health.
Participants will be involved in activities that monitor air quality in their homes and assess their health status. The study aims to gather data on how these small particles in the air can impact health over time.
- Who can participate: Participants must be from low-income households, living in Indiana for at least 3 years, and have a home environment free of cigarette smoke.
