This study investigates the factors and life events that lead women into drug use and criminal activities. It focuses on understanding these experiences from the perspective of women who have been charged with crimes beyond just drug possession. The purpose of this study is to explore what these women perceive as the precursors to their involvement in criminal activities.

Participants in this study will share their personal experiences and insights. This will help researchers understand the pathways that lead to crime and drug use. Participants will be compensated for their involvement in the study.

  • Who can participate: Women who have been convicted of a criminal offense, including but not limited to drug-related charges, can participate. However, those currently under supervision or monitored by corrections services are not eligible.
  • Study details: Participants will share their experiences and perceptions regarding their involvement in crime and drug use. They will provide insights into the life events that they believe led to their criminal activities.
