The purpose of this study is to explore (1) whether participation in voluntary science clubs results in increased science process skills, environmental literacy, and positive science attitudes, and (2) how the intricacies of the education practice in the elementary schools impact the science clubs and if the science clubs influence curriculum choices and activities selected by teachers in the participating schools.
