The purpose of this study is to examine whether elevated calprotectin protein levels in patients with Crohn?s disease can increase the production of certain factors that make Staphylococcus aureus potentially more harmful (virulent) in these patients and increase the susceptibility of patients with Crohn?s disease to Staphylococcus aureus infections.
