Summary

The purpose of this ethnographic study is to explore the musical values of children's playground singing games in Southern Indiana in regards to what characteristics underlie their singing, movement, and clapping games; also, this research will explore if and how popular music, technology, world music, and formal classroom training are influencing these playground games.
