The purpose of this study id to examine the services and procedures in place for adolescent girls transitioning from a female state operated residential correctional facility back into their communities and to explore the actual transition services rendered and the perceived challenges from the perspective of correctional education staff, youth, their families, probation/parole departments, and community schools in assisting youth with academic and vocational attainment.
