Summary

The purpose of this study is to determine if a new test for measuring certain proteins associated with tissue inflammation (called the COMP ACT assay) can measure these proteins in adults.

Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate in vitro complement activation in the clinical laboratory workflow and to assess the performance of this new test's sample stablization buffer to prevent in vitro complement activation.
