Summary
The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the use of aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio (APRI) and FIB-4 in determining the level of fibrosis of the liver and their usefulness in determining clinical outcomes such as esophageal varices, upper GI bleeds, need for transplant, as well as survival in patients with a variety of chronic liver diseases.
