Summary
The purpose of this study is to describe the pathology of ovarian tissue specimens removed from patients with breast cancer undergoing bilateral salpingo-oophoectomy (BSO_to facilitate cancer treatment with aromatase inhibitors and to describe the incident of occult pelvic/abdominal cancer at the time of BSO for breast cancer.
Description
The purpose of this study is to describe the pathology of ovarian tissue specimens removed from patients with breast cancer undergoing bilateral salpingo-oophoectomy (BSO_to facilitate cancer treatment with aromatase inhibitors and to describe the incident of occult pelvic/abdominal cancer at the time of BSO for breast cancer.
