Summary

The purpose of this study is to determine the GG Challenge's ability to predict resolution of adhesive SBO and its ability to treat adhesive SB; to validate the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma's SBO anatomic severity of organ disease grading system in Emergency General Surgery; to determine if a daily NG volume output predicts successful removal; to determine the risk factors for operative intervention in SBO; and to determine the standard treatments for malignant SBO treatment.
