Summary
The purpose of this study is to follow the rare children who have pre-pubertal onset systemic lupus erythematosus during the pubertal process, measuring disease activity clinically (using the SLE Disease Activity Index, or SLEDAI, and physician global assessment or PGI), and correlating disease activity with changes in sex hormones, prolactin, leptin and other adipokines to identify which hormonal changes are associated with disease flares.
Description
