Leveraging Integrated Electronic Data Sources to Improve Population Health Assessment at Local Levels

  • STATUS
    Not Recruiting
Updated on 19 February 2024

Summary

In the project, we will use integrated electronic health record (EHR) and community information system (CIS) data to generate HEDIS-like population health indicators at various geographic levels smaller than a county. Calculated indicators will be validated and visualized, and staff at the Marion County Public Health Department will provide feedback on their usefulness. Lessons and outcomes of the project will provide insight on the feasibility and validity of using integrated electronic health data with neighborhood level information to improve community assessment. Improving assessment processes will enable more informed health department planning and policy activities, leading to more effective public health systems and services.
