Summary
The purpose of this joint project between Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is (1) to describe parents?, adolescents?, and providers? views of the optimal content, method and timing of providing fertility preservation information to families of children with cancer or other disease processes putting them at high risk of fertility complications (2) to describe the decision making process for parents and adolescents regarding fertility preservation techniques, and (3) to elicit providers? experiences, including barriers and facilitators, with discussing fertility complications and preservation with adolescents and their families.
