This study investigates how the human brain responds to different tastes and examines the relationship between these brain responses and the use of alcohol and other drugs. The purpose is to understand the neurological processes involved in taste perception and substance use.
Participants in the study will undergo procedures to measure their brain activity as they experience various tastes. This will help researchers understand how different tastes affect brain responses, which may be linked to alcohol and drug use.
- Who can participate: Participants must be within the age range of 18 to 65, able to understand English questionnaires and procedures. They cannot be currently pregnant, breastfeeding, diagnosed with diabetes, or have an intellectual disorder.
- Study details: Participants will take part in activities that involve tasting different flavors while their brain activity is monitored.
