TBI in Pediatric Trauma Patients

Summary

The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of hypo and hypercarbia in severe TBI pediatric patients who present to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health; to describe pre-arrival care, treatment and resources available to transport agencies as well as outside hospitals; to determine the outcomes of patients with hypo or hypercarbia; and to compare physiological condition of patient upon arrival to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health between Specialized Pediatric Transport Team versus all other EMS transport agencies.

Description
