Summary
We want to understand (1) the frequency with which antibiotics are prescribed over the phone, in comparison to antibiotics prescribed in clinic and/or in the hospital, (2) whether patients prescribed antibiotics over the phone differ from patients prescribed antibiotics in clinic according to clinical characteristics and demographics (including distance from Riley Hospital to their home zip code), and (3) whether outcomes differ between patients prescribed antibiotics over the phone vs in clinic.

We want to understand (1) the frequency with which antibiotics are prescribed over the phone, in comparison to antibiotics prescribed in clinic and/or in the hospital, (2) whether patients prescribed antibiotics over the phone differ from patients prescribed antibiotics in clinic according to clinical characteristics and demographics (including distance from Riley Hospital to their home zip code), and (3) whether outcomes differ between patients prescribed antibiotics over the phone vs in clinic.
