The purpose of this study is to investigate why there are differences in hair color between scalp and beard hair by studying genetic material and pigment measures obtained from the hair follicle/bulb samples collected from the participants. This study investigates the genes that cause different hair colors in an individual using the genetic information extracted from the hair samples the study participants provide.
Participants will provide hair samples from their scalp and beard. The samples will be used to study genetic material and measure pigments to understand the differences in hair color. No payment will be provided for participation.
- Who can participate: Adults of European ancestry with natural multiple colors in their beard hair can participate. Individuals with dyed hair are not eligible.
- Study details: Participants will provide hair samples from their scalp and beard for genetic and pigment analysis to understand hair color differences.
