Multimodal Analgesic Protocol for Spinal Fusion for Idiopathic Scoliosis

Summary
Spinal fusion for idiopathic scoliosis is a common but painful procedure in the adolescent population. We have recently implemented a multimodal analgesic therapy protocol for treatment of postoperative pain. Other institutions that have similar protocols have demonstrated decreased pain scores, earlier hospital discharge, and overall improved patient satisfaction. We would like to retrospectively look at our patients before and after the new protocol to see if similar improvements can be noted at Riley Children?s Hospital.
