Summary
An issue we have encountered is the need to develop research protocols to investigate each unreported abnormality we begin to associate with nonaccidental trauma over a long period of reading radiologic studies in suspected abuse cases. The purpose of this study is to establish a general protocol which allows us to investigate these potential markers for abuse as they are identified, for various imaging modalities, using imaging and medical records previously obtained for clinical evaluation of these children.
