Summary
The blanket protocol is to cover Dr. Wallace's U10 grant for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). Since its inception in 1997, PEDIG has conducted 4 protocols in strabismus, 19 protocols in amblyopia, 3 protocols in nasolacrimal duct obstruction, 2 protocols in myopia/hyperopia, and several pilot studies. IU is engaged in this research by virtue of being the prime grant recipient. Therefore, per OHRP guidance, IU IRB review is required. However, all human subjects recruitment, enrollment, and other activities will be conducted at other institutions under separate IRB approvals.
