Summary

The purpose of this study is to investigate the decision-making processes and activity by maternal care providers surrounding vaginal and c-section deliveries, and obstetric and gynecologic care in an Indiana hospital. In so doing, this study examines the organizational and interactional processes involved in obstetric care provision, especially as related to childbirth.
