Utility of Prenatal MRI and Ultrasound to Predict Outcomes of Congenital Foregut Malformations

Summary

This study will retrospectively identify all patients at IU Health Riley Hospital with the diagnosis for congenital lung malformation who have undergone fetal MRI. We will compare fetal MRI findings to prenatal ultrasound findings in patients for whom prenatal ultrasound is available. Perinatal outcomes including prenatal complications (fetal hydrops, fetal death), postnatal complications (respiratory distress at birth, respiratory status upon discharge, death, need for surgery), and subsequent radiographic findings (regression of malformation, persistence of malformation on postnatal imaging) will then be characterized. We will then compare these variables with fetal MRI and ultrasound findings to determine if correlations are present.
